FAQ

  • If you want to upload images to FTP server, you can set FTP service settings.

    1. Set FTP service settings
      You need a ftp server before you do these settings.Make sure that you have enough permission on read, write, delete on the server.Please set as below picture. (Picture 1)

      Here upload interval means the time between the first image and the second image. Here 10, means 10 seconds.

    2. If you want the camera upload images to ftp server when motion trigger. You need also set alarm service settings.
      Please set alarm service settings as below. (Picture 3)

      Do not forget to click submit after finish these settings.
      If there is motion trigger, camera will upload images to ftp server.

    NOTE:

    • If you set scheduler, camera will only alarm and upload pictures during the time you set when motion trigger.
    • If you do not choose scheduler, camera will always alarm and upload  pictures when motion trigger at any time.
    1. There are six pictures in each alarm emails;
    2. If alarm continues for a long time, camera will send an email per minute; if motion trigger shortly, camera will send emails not so often.
    3. It is normal that there is delay between received alarm emails and motion trigger, according to the network;
  • There are two steps to complete the configuration of this feature.

    1. Setup mail service settings
      Before you set, please make sure that your email for sender support SMTP.
      Please set as below picture.

      Note 1: Please click Submit before you click Test button.
      Note 2: Make sure test result is succeed.


      After test succeed, you will receive a test email in the mailbox of receiver.
    2. Setup the alarm service settings Please set as picture 3 below.

      Do not forget to click submit after finish these settings. If there is motion trigger, camera will alarm and you can receive email alert.

    NOTE:

    • If you set scheduler, camera will only alarm and send pictures during the time you set when motion trigger.
    • If you do not choose scheduler, camera will always alarm and send pictures when motion triggered at any time.
  • If camera shows this error message, it caused by the security settings of your OS. You can add the camera’s ip address as a trusted site to resolve this issue. The add step is Internet Explorer—>Tool—>Internet Proper—>Security—>Trusted sites—>Sites—>Add.

  • On MJPEG based cameras, record function is controlled by activeX. It is only available when logging via Internet Explorer. If you use firefox, google chrome or safari, it is impossible to record, there is no record icon and place to change record path in the UI too.

  • There are two ways to record:

    1. Record manually
      There is a record icon on the top right corner of the living video page. Click the record icon and camera will record video to your local hard driver, click the icon again and camera will stop recording.
    2. Record automatically when motion triggered
      Set alarm settings for the camera first. When motion triggered, camera will record automatically.

    NOTE:

    1. When recording, you need open the monitoring system UI. If you close the Real-time IP camera monitoring system, camera will stop recording.
    2. If you want to change record path, please go to “User settings” to set. Record path is used to store manual record, Alarm record path is used to save automatic record.
  • In oder to have audio feature on MJPEG based cameras when accessing via Firefox, Google Chrome, please install VLC media player first.

    1. Login the camera on Push Server Mode. Click Audio, go to www.videolan.org , download the player, and install it.
    2. During the installation, you must select Mozilla plugin.
    3. Re-login your camera, click Audio, then you can hear the voice around the camera.
    1. Check if the microphone used to talk turn on or not;
    2. Make sure active the microphone icon in visitor UI;
    3. Network speed is not so bad. 
    1. Do not put the camera too near to the microphone which you using the talk feature, or it will cause noise;
    2. Do not enable earphone icon and microphone icon at the same time.
    1. Please check if your computer can play music or not;
    2. If you plug an earphone in your computer to hear sound, please make sure turn on the sound of the earphone;
    3. Make sure active the earphone icon in the visitor UI;
    4. Network speed is not too bad;
    5. The sound is not so far from the camera and loud enough for the camera to capture.
